5 Weeks Down, Only 7 To Go!!

Man, time is flying by so quickly I have to remind myself to slow down and breathe! 

Yesterday was the start of my 5th week of the 90 day terrafit challenge and things are going so good! I am eating healthier, exercising more and feeling great about my goals! My weight-in yesterday shows that all of my hard work is paying off with a 21lbs. total loss so far! I've hit my first weight loss goal in less time then I planned so I have been revisiting my goals every week to keep them updated and me on track!

There are some great apps out there to help keep track of food and fitness and the two I find I use the most on my iPhone are myfitnesspal and mapmyride. I track all of my food on myfitnesspal, keeping between 1200-1500 calories per day. Mapmyride helps me to track distance, pace, time, and calories burned when I walk to help me make sure I'm moving quick enough, long enough to burn the amount of calories I've planned for. 

The key to this challenge I've found is to plan and keep track of everything! I make my daily menu for two weeks out so I'm sure I have all of the food I need, no running out or trying to put something together at the last minute and I stick to the menu! If I don't do all of this, I find it's easier for me to stray from my plan and then I'm not losing like I want.


While it's not always easy, and I've been tempted to stuff my face with garbage, I have to pull myself back together and remind myself of why I am doing this, why it's so important for me to get healthy and lose the weight! I am definitely getting fit with terrafit!
